sorry for this video being very fast, i wanted to keep it short.
there's a short audio bug at 7.35 min. two tracks overlay there. but i think its no problem, since no relevant info is told there.

ReplyDeleteCould you give us a hint how to make a displacement map out of Mudbox from the Hi poly imported stone ? I just find how to do it since the stone was done in 3dsmax and already hi poly when imported. I tried whith an import of both Hi and low poly of the stone but it didn't worked... (diplacement map render grey)
thanks a lot sacha !
hi pixel. i dont really know what you mean. a disp map is rendered in mudbox, just like you'd render a normalmap. onto a lower poly version.
ReplyDeletebut if you got a problem to paint the stone in mudbox, because its too highpoly, you should take care, that you only export a mid poly version of the stone into mudbox, to paint it.. then lateron, just use the painted texture onto the highpolyobject inside 3dsmax. the mapping coords are the same.
No, I mean since the stone was imported in mudbox in hi poly version, Mudbox can't export a norml/displace map since it doesn't have the lo poly reference. (actually you paint at level 0 in mudbox, am I right ?) I've managed to import the corresponding lowpoly 3dmax stone in mudbox then extract the disp/normal maps but those seems corrupted... Don't worry, it's my first time in mudbox and maybe I did somthing wrong ;)
ReplyDeleteNumber 3 please~
